Hi, I'm Lexi

If you’ve made it to this page, I’m guessing you’re the kind of pet owner who doesn’t just “leave their pet”, you think about them while you’re gone.

You wonder if they’re okay, if they’ve eaten, if they’re stressed, or if they’re just sitting there judging your life choices (especially if you have a cat… you know what I mean).

I get it. Completely.

That’s exactly why I do what I do!

My Approach to Pet Care

I don’t believe in rushing through visits or treating every pet the same.

Some dogs want to run, play, and burn energy.

Some need structure and consistency.

Some just want someone to sit with them quietly.

Cats? They usually have their own plans entirely and I respect that too.

I take the time to figure out with you:

  • What makes your pet comfortable

  • What stresses them out

  • What they actually need that day

Sometimes that means a full, active visit.

Sometimes it means sitting on the floor and letting a shy cat exist near me.

Both matter equally!

My Background

As a veterinary technician (and current student), I’ve spent over 3 years working hands-on with animals in all kinds of situations:

• Healthy, energetic pets

• Nervous and fearful animals

• Senior pets and chronic conditions

• Post-surgery and medical care

What this can mean for you and your pet:

I can notice small changes, I understand basic behavioral cues in pets, I will always listen to your concerns when something feels “off” with your pet and in turn always advise you if I notice that something is abnormal with your pet.

But just as important, I know how to stay calm, patient, and gentle in situations that could otherwise feel stressful for your pet.

Because of my background in veterinary medicine, I tend to notice the little things.

The small behavior changes.
The slight difference in energy.
The “something just feels off” moments.

It doesn’t mean I overreact but it does mean I pay attention.

And when it comes to your pet, those little details matter more than people think.

A Little Honesty from Me

I don’t believe in pretending everything will always go perfectly.

Some pets have off days.

Some visits don’t go exactly as planned.

Some cats will hide the entire time and that’s okay!

I will never force your pet into something that makes them uncomfortable just to “complete a service.”

Their safety, comfort, and trust will always come first.

This isn’t just something I do on the side.

It’s something I genuinely care about.

Whether you need help during a busy week, support with a senior pet, or just someone to make sure your pet isn’t alone and I’m here to make that feel easier.

When I care for your pet, I’m not just checking off a list.

You can expect:

• Honest communication (always)

• Updates that actually tell you how your pet is doing

• A calm, low-stress approach

• Attention to detail

• Respect for your pet’s boundaries

And most importantly:

Someone who genuinely cares about how your pet is feeling, not just what needs to get done

Coming Into Your Home

Inviting someone into your home and trusting them with your pet is a big decision, I don’t take that lightly.

When I enter your home, my priority is to create a calm, respectful environment for your pet while also being mindful of your space, your routine, and your expectations. I move with intention, keep things organized, and make sure your home is left the way you’d expect it to be.

Your pet’s comfort is just as important as your trust, and both are something I work to earn with every visit.

To ensure everything goes smoothly, I ask all clients to provide clear instructions ahead of time. This allows me to enter your home confidently and focus fully on your pet’s care.

This includes:

• How to access your home or apartment (keys, lockboxes, codes, parking details, etc.)
• Any alarm systems or special entry instructions
• Where your pet is typically located or spends most of their time
• Feeding, medication, and routine details
• Any areas of the home that are off-limits

The more detailed you are, the more prepared I can be!

Every pet reacts differently to new people entering their space.

Some may be excited and ready to greet me at the door.
Others may be shy, cautious, or prefer to keep their distance at first.

I ask that you share your pet’s typical behavior and preferences when someone new enters the home so I can approach them in a way that feels safe and appropriate.

That might mean:
• Giving them space
• Letting them come to me on their own time
• Moving slowly and quietly
• Adjusting how I interact during the visit

There is no pressure for your pet to respond a certain way, I will always meet them where they are.

Trust isn’t something I expect, it’s something I build.

Through consistency, communication, and respect for both your pet and your home, I aim to provide a level of care that allows you to feel completely at ease while you’re away!

More About Me

Outside of pet care, I’m just a pretty normal person who values the simple things in life and the people (and animals) I care about.

I recently made the move back to Massachusetts after living and working in Maine, and being here again just feels like home.

There’s something about it, the energy, the familiarity, the people, that I’ve always carried with me no matter where I’ve been.

I’m definitely a Boston girl at heart, and that shows in the best ways… and probably a few stereotypical ones too.

I love my sports and I have that classic Massachusetts mix of being honest, a little sarcastic, but genuinely caring underneath it all.

When I’m not working or focusing on school, I really enjoy slowing things down.

I’m someone who recharges in quieter ways. You’ll usually find me curled up with a good book especially the kind that completely pulls you in and makes you lose track of time.

There’s something about getting lost in a story that helps me reset and step away from the busy parts of life for a bit.

I also enjoy spending time outside when I can, even if it’s just getting some fresh air and a change of scenery.

It doesn’t have to be anything big, sometimes just stepping away and breathing for a minute is enough.

More than anything, I value feeling comfortable, grounded, and connected to the people and things that matter to me.

I think that carries over into how I show up in every part of my life including how I care for your pets.

I’m not someone who needs everything to be fast-paced or perfect. I care about doing things the right way, being present, and showing up consistently and that’s exactly the energy I bring into your home and to your animals.
