KindrPaws Terms of Service
Terms of Service
KindrPaws Pet Care Services
Effective Date: 4/23/2026
By booking, scheduling, or using any service provided by KindrPaws Pet Care Services, you, as the Client, acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms of Service in full.
Booking any service with KindrPaws constitutes your full acceptance of these terms and conditions. If you do not agree to these Terms of Service, you should not book or use services.
These Terms of Service are intended to establish clear expectations, protect all parties involved, and support the safe, responsible, and professional care of your pet(s).
Services Provided
KindrPaws provides professional pet care services that may include, but are not limited to, dog walking, drop-in visits, pet sitting, exercise-based outings such as runs or hikes, feeding assistance, medication administration, enrichment visits, and customized care services based on the individual needs of the pet and household.
All services are provided based on the information supplied by the Client at the time of booking and during any consultation, meet-and-greet, intake process, or other communication. Care is tailored as reasonably as possible to the pet’s age, breed, personality, health status, energy level, mobility, behavior, and routine.
KindrPaws reserves the right to adjust or modify how a service is carried out if such adjustment is reasonably necessary for the health, safety, comfort, or welfare of the pet, the safety of the Service Provider, or the protection of other people, animals, or property. No specific results, behavioral improvements, exercise outcomes, or training outcomes are promised or guaranteed unless explicitly stated in writing.
Client Responsibilities and Disclosure Requirements
The Client is responsible for providing complete, truthful, and current information about their pet(s), home, and any circumstances that may affect the safe and proper delivery of services. This includes, but is not limited to, accurate disclosure of medical conditions, medications, allergies, past injuries, mobility limitations, behavioral tendencies, fears, escape risks, bite history, reactivity, aggression, and any known triggers involving people, animals, environments, sounds, objects, or handling.
The Client is also responsible for providing accurate care instructions, including feeding directions, medication instructions, emergency contact information, veterinarian information, preferred emergency clinic information if applicable, and any household details needed for safe care. If the pet requires specific equipment, supplies, food, treats, medication, litter, waste bags, harnesses, leashes, crates, cleaning supplies, or other essential items, the Client is responsible for making sure those items are available and in usable condition.
The Client agrees that all information provided is accurate to the best of their knowledge. Failure to disclose material information, including behavioral or medical concerns, may place the pet, the Service Provider, other animals, or third parties at risk. If KindrPaws determines that relevant information was omitted, misrepresented, or not updated, services may be refused, suspended, or terminated immediately. In such cases, refunds may be denied to the fullest extent permitted by law, particularly where the omission created a safety risk or materially affected the ability to provide care.
Pet Health, Behavior, and Temperament
The Client represents that their pet is healthy enough to participate in the booked service unless otherwise disclosed in writing before the service begins. If the pet has a medical condition, injury, behavioral issue, age-related limitation, or any condition that may affect the pet’s participation in walks, outings, handling, feeding, medication, or general care, the Client must disclose that information in advance.
The Client understands and acknowledges that animals are inherently unpredictable. Even pets that are generally friendly, well-socialized, and well-behaved may react unexpectedly due to stress, fear, pain, unfamiliar environments, noise, weather, other animals, people, or other factors beyond anyone’s control.
KindrPaws does not guarantee that a pet will never bite, pull away, escape, become ill, have an accident, react aggressively, damage property, or behave unexpectedly.
Kindr Paws reserves the right to refuse, decline, suspend, or terminate service at any time if a pet is believed to present a danger to itself, the Service Provider, another animal, another person, or property, or if the pet cannot be safely managed within the scope of the service booked. This includes situations involving aggression, unsafe equipment, severe distress, repeated escape attempts, unsafe environmental conditions, or undisclosed behavioral concerns.
In these situations, the decision to stop or modify service will be made at the sole discretion of KindrPaws in the interest of safety.
Veterinary Care, Medical Needs, and Emergencies
KindrPaws may provide certain basic pet care support services, including medication administration or assistance in monitoring of known conditions, when discussed and agreed to in advance. However, KindrPaws is not a veterinary hospital and does not replace licensed veterinary diagnosis, treatment, or emergency medical care. Any medical support provided is limited to the specific care instructions authorized by the Client and accepted by KindrPaws.
In the event of a medical concern, illness, injury, emergency, or situation in which immediate action appears reasonably necessary, KindrPaws will make reasonable efforts to contact the Client using the contact information provided. If the Client cannot be reached promptly, or if waiting for instructions could place the pet at greater risk, the Client authorizes KindrPaws to seek veterinary care from the pet’s regular veterinarian, the Client’s preferred emergency clinic, or the nearest reasonably available veterinary provider.
By booking services, the Client authorizes emergency transportation and treatment if deemed reasonably necessary and agrees to accept full financial responsibility for all veterinary expenses, medical expenses, transportation costs, emergency service costs, and any related charges incurred on behalf of the pet. The Client also understands that outcomes of veterinary care cannot be guaranteed and agrees that KindrPaws shall not be held liable for the results of veterinary treatment, decisions made by veterinary personnel, progression of pre-existing conditions, sudden medical events, or complications that occur despite reasonable efforts.
Assumption of Risk
The Client understands that all pet care services carry inherent risks. These risks may include, but are not limited to, injury, illness, stress, allergic reaction, escape, loss, unexpected behavioral incidents, worsening of pre-existing conditions, exposure to environmental hazards, exposure to wildlife, exposure to insects, exposure to weather conditions, vehicle-related risks during transport if transport is agreed to, and risks associated with physical activity such as walking, running, hiking, or outdoor exercise.
By booking services, the Client knowingly and voluntarily assumes all normal and foreseeable risks associated with pet care services. The Client acknowledges that even with reasonable caution, experience, and attentiveness, not all incidents can be prevented. The Client further understands that Kindr Paws cannot guarantee an entirely risk-free environment or risk-free service.
Home Access and Property Conditions
The Client is responsible for providing safe, functional, and reliable access to the home or service location. This includes providing correct keys, lockbox access, door codes, gate codes, alarm instructions, parking instructions if needed, and any other information necessary to enter and leave the property safely. The Client is also responsible for ensuring that doors, gates, fences, latches, and pet containment areas are functioning properly and that the environment is reasonably safe for both the pet and the Service Provider.
KindrPaws is not responsible for loss, delay, damage, missed service time, or inability to complete service due to incorrect access information, malfunctioning locks, dead keypads, inaccessible entrances, aggressive unsecured animals, unsafe property conditions, or a home environment that presents unreasonable hazards. KindrPaws will make reasonable efforts to secure the home upon departure, but is not liable for issues arising from faulty locks, previously unsecured premises, broken gates, defective fencing, or incomplete instructions.
The Client is also responsible for informing KindrPaws of any third parties who may access the home during the service period, including cleaners, contractors, neighbors, friends, relatives, dog walkers, or other pet care providers. KindrPaws shall not be responsible for loss, damage, injury, or complications resulting from the acts or omissions of third parties entering or accessing the property.
Outdoor Activities, Walks, Runs, and Exercise-Based Services
For services involving walks, runs, hikes, trail outings, yard time, or other forms of outdoor care or exercise, KindrPaws will use reasonable judgment in determining the safest and most appropriate activity for the pet based on age, health, breed, behavior, stamina, weather, terrain, and other relevant conditions. Outdoor services may be shortened, modified, substituted with lower-impact care, or canceled if the pet appears unwell, if conditions are unsafe, or if continuing as planned would be inappropriate in the professional judgment of KindrPaws.
Unless the Client has explicitly authorized otherwise in writing and KindrPaws has accepted such arrangement, pets will remain leashed or otherwise physically secured during outdoor activities. Even when reasonable precautions are taken, the Client understands that outdoor activity involves risks that cannot be fully eliminated, including injury, escape, contact with wildlife, contact with other animals, contact with environmental irritants or hazards, and physical strain. By booking these services, the Client accepts those risks.
Weather and Environmental Adjustments
The health and safety of the pet always take priority over completing a service exactly as originally planned. KindrPaws reserves the right to modify the structure, duration, or location of services in response to weather conditions or environmental hazards. This includes, but is not limited to, extreme heat, extreme cold, ice, snow, lightning, storms, high winds, wildfire smoke, flooding, poor air quality, unsafe walking surfaces, or any other condition that may pose a reasonable risk to the pet or Service Provider.
When appropriate, outdoor activity may be shortened and replaced in whole or in part with indoor care, potty breaks, enrichment, feeding, comfort care, or other safer alternatives. The Client acknowledges that these modifications may be necessary and agrees that safety-based adjustments do not constitute a breach of service.
Communication, Updates, Photos, and Visit Reports
KindrPaws strives to provide clear and thoughtful communication so that Clients feel informed and reassured while their pets are in care. Unless otherwise requested by the Client, updates may include notification upon arrival, messages during or after the service, photos, videos, written summaries, and confirmation once care has been completed. These updates may describe how the pet behaved, what services were completed, whether meals, water, medications, litter box care, potty breaks, exercise, or cleanup were provided, and any other relevant observations about the pet’s condition or routine.
KindrPaws may, at its discretion, also provide more personalized care summaries, including occasional handwritten report cards or similar notes, when appropriate. However, the format, timing, and frequency of updates may vary based on the nature of the service, scheduling demands, safety concerns, technical issues, cell service, or other practical limitations.
If a Client prefers minimal communication or no photos or videos during service, the Client must communicate that preference in advance. By default, KindrPaws may photograph or video the pet for the purpose of client updates and service documentation. Unless the Client expressly objects in writing, the Client grants permission for non-sensitive pet photos or videos to be used by KindrPaws for reasonable business purposes, including website, portfolio, or social media content. No private personal information will be intentionally shared beyond what is necessary for the business use of pet-related content.
Payment Terms
Payment is due as stated at the time of booking, unless another arrangement has been agreed to in advance. A booking is not considered guaranteed or confirmed until payment, deposit, or other required booking step has been completed. KindrPaws reserves the right to decline, cancel, or withhold services where payment has not been made in accordance with the stated booking terms.
The Client is responsible for paying all fees associated with booked services, approved add-ons, extended time if applicable, holiday surcharges if applicable, last-minute requests if accepted, and any extraordinary costs reasonably incurred while caring for the pet. KindrPaws reserves the right to update pricing, service structures, and policies at any time, provided that such changes are communicated appropriately and do not retroactively alter already-confirmed bookings unless required by circumstances beyond reasonable control.
Cancellations, No-Shows, and Service Changes
KindrPaws understands that schedules can change and will make reasonable efforts to work with Clients when possible. However, because booking time is reserved specifically for each Client and pet, cancellations may result in charges depending on how much notice is given and the nature of the service booked.
Late cancellations, same-day cancellations, last-minute schedule changes, or no-shows may be charged in part or in full. If the Client is not available, does not provide access, fails to respond when necessary, or otherwise makes the service impossible to complete as scheduled, the booking may still be treated as fulfilled or nonrefundable to the fullest extent permitted by law. Any courtesy exception made in one case does not create an obligation to provide exceptions in the future.
Scheduling and Timing Disclaimer
KindrPaws makes every reasonable effort to arrive within the agreed scheduling window and to provide services in a timely and dependable manner. However, exact arrival times cannot be guaranteed unless specifically agreed to in writing. Factors such as traffic, road closures, weather, emergencies, extended care needs during prior appointments, pet emergencies, and other unavoidable circumstances may affect timing.
When significant delays occur, reasonable efforts will be made to notify the Client. The Client understands and agrees that minor timing adjustments do not constitute a breach of service, particularly where services are still substantially performed as scheduled and the pet’s needs are appropriately met.
Liability Limitation
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, KindrPaws shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages arising out of or related to the services provided. This includes, but is not limited to, claims involving pet illness, injury, death, escape, disappearance, behavioral incidents, property damage caused by the pet, loss caused by third parties, or events beyond reasonable control.
The Client acknowledges that KindrPaws is relying on the accuracy of the information provided by the Client and on the Client’s cooperation in maintaining a safe environment and appropriate instructions. Where the Client has failed to disclose relevant information, failed to provide safe equipment, failed to maintain the property safely, or otherwise contributed to the event or loss, Kindr Paws shall have no liability to the fullest extent allowed by law.
If, despite these terms, KindrPaws is found legally liable for any claim arising from services provided, the total liability shall be limited to the total amount paid by the Client for the specific service giving rise to the claim, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Indemnification
The Client agrees to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless KindrPaws, its owner, and any representatives from and against any and all claims, demands, actions, liabilities, damages, judgments, costs, and expenses, including reasonable attorney’s fees, arising out of or related to the Client’s pet, the Client’s breach of these Terms of Service, the Client’s failure to disclose material information, unsafe conditions on the property, or any injury, damage, or loss caused by the Client’s pet to any person, animal, or property.
Right to Refuse, Suspend, or Terminate Services
KindrPaws reserves the right to refuse, suspend, modify, or terminate services at any time, with or without prior notice where circumstances reasonably require immediate action. This includes, but is not limited to, situations involving safety concerns, aggressive or unsafe pet behavior, lack of truthful disclosure, repeated policy violations, harassment, unsafe home conditions, inaccessible property, or circumstances that make continued service inappropriate or unreasonably risky.
If services are refused or terminated for reasons related to safety, undisclosed concerns, policy violations, or Client breach, KindrPaws reserves the right to retain payment for booked time, deny refunds, and decline future bookings.
Governing Law
These Terms of Service shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these terms or the services provided shall be handled in the appropriate courts or legal forums within Massachusetts, to the extent permitted by law.
Severability
If any provision of these Terms of Service is determined to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect to the maximum extent permitted by law. Any unenforceable provision shall be interpreted as closely as possible to reflect the original intent of the provision while remaining lawful and enforceable.
Entire Agreement
These Terms of Service constitute the entire understanding between the Client and KindrPaws with respect to the services provided and supersede any prior discussions, representations, understandings, or informal communications relating to those services, except where a separate written agreement has been signed.
Acknowledgment and Acceptance
By booking, scheduling, or using any service through KindrPaws Pet Care Services, the Client confirms that they have had the opportunity to read these Terms of Service, understand them, and ask any questions before booking. The Client further acknowledges that booking a service is a clear and binding agreement to these Terms of Service in full.
